Today we started our workshops to prepare our film class for the production of Ritvick Mehra's film Lover Boy's Little Dream. The workshops we had today included AD Department, Post Production, Script and Cinematography which all interested me however the AD Workshop was the one mainly for me. I got the role of 2nd AD which I am very much looking forward to, I learned today that during the audition process, my role will be greeting and bringing in the actors who are auditioning which I mentioned to Ritvick and our 1st AD, Gerard; is interesting because I'm usually the one going in for the audition myself so it will be neat to see the other side of things.
We learned a lot about the lingo we need to memorize for being on set and industry level programming, I became rather envious of the fancy programs Ritvick was showing us including Final Draft, Movie Magic Scheduling and Adobe Acrobat which I hope to have myself one day once I have the funds for it.
On the pre-production side of things, I am feeling very confident. I am always excited about auditions so I think that will be fun to be involved in this coming weekend. As long as we all stay on top of each of our roles, we will make quite the good film - Not to mention a cute one.
